SEISMO-STRUCTURAL FEATURE WITHIN PART OF BORNU BASIN, NORTHEASTERN NIGERIA
In the analysis of seismic isovelocity feature of this study area, two seismic base maps were first merged into a single map. It is from this single seismic base map that analysis was made. Three horizons and three layers were mapped. The study area lies within the northeast end of Nigeria between latitude 120 19’N and 120 28’N and longitude 130 14’ E and 130 25’E.

This paper assesses the expression of mood in Ibibio, a language spoken in the south-south geopolitical zone of Nigeria, which variously occurs in different types such as declaratives, interrogatives, imperatives and exclamations.

This grammatical category relates the time of the situations, actions, events and state of affairs to some other time – usually the moment of speaking. That is, tense relates time to utterances. X-ray Operators in Nigeria are exposed to very high radiation risk because of the dependence on refurbished x-ray equipment. This is as a result of poor quality control practices, equipment maintenance and non-compliance to Radiation Protection rules and regulations. The knowledge of exposure dose to operators or workers of different categories in the unit is assessed in this work. The assessment was carried out in all the hospitals that have x-ray units in four Local Government Areas of Benue State, Nigeria.

ON THE BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES OF POPULARISING SWIMMING FOR WATER SAFETY, SPORT, RECREATION AND TOURISM IN NIGERIA
The paper highlights the importance of swimming capability in water safety, occupational engagements, competitive sports, recreation and tourism. It casts doubt on the ability of many Nigerians to swim, judging from high fatalities arising from reported cases of boat mishap and flood disasters in the country. The situation was attributed to the low socio – economic status of most Nigerians, with consequent low disposition of the population towards sports participation and recreation; more so the case of swimming that requires capital intensive facilities involving high maintenance cost.

RESTRUCTURING IN MARITIME INDUSTRY: THE DEMOGRAPHIC INFLUENCE OF JOB INSECURITY AMONG DOCK WORKERS IN NIGERIA
This study examined the effects of demographic factors (sex, job status, type of department, age, and work experience) on perceived job insecurity among Nigerian dock workers. Two hundred and forty five (245) maritime workers were selected through the accidental sampling technique. 58.8% of participants were male, while 41.2% of the participants were female. One hypothesis was tested in the study. Results showed demographic factors of sex, job status, type of department, age, and work experience significantly co-jointly predicted perceived job insecurity among maritime workers, F (6, 238) = 8.52, P< .001, R2 = .16.

CHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND CONTRACTILE (OXYTOCIC) ACTIVITY OF HEXANE EXTRACT OF Newbouldia laevis ON ALBINO RAT UTERUS
Newbouldia laevis (life plant) is a medicinal plant used to facilitate birth among traditional healers in Nigeria. In this study, extraction was maintained in N-Hexane solvent using soxhlet extractor and solvent remove via rotary evaporator at less than 50oC. Phytochemical screening were performed on the extract by standard methods. Oxytocic (contractile activity) of the hexane extract was investigated in female albino rat's uterus using the Ugo Basile channel recorder machein.
