PATTERNS OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AMONG IGBO FARMERS: THE CASE OF ENUGU NORTH SENATORIAL ZONE OF ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA
Various types of alcohols are consumed in Nigeria. These alcoholic beverages range from beer, wine and spirit categories. Several health, social and economic effects are associated with alcohol consumption. The severity of these effects depends on the patterns of alcohol consumption. Different alcoholic drinking spots are available in the area.

Processing and utilization of bambara groundnut are fundamental strategies for enhancing value addition and meeting the dietary needs of households in Enugu State, Nigeria. This study objective was to describe the socio-economic characteristics of bambara groundnut dependent households and ascertain sources of bambara groundnut. Furthermore, the study analyzed cost and returns to bambara groundnut processing and utilization and highlighted challenges in Enugu State, Nigeria.

The phenomenon of commercial motorcycle or otherwise okada has attracted series of government action and regulation in recent time. The regulation enforced is the restriction of okada riders from major city centres and high-way roads. This regulation negatively influenced the economic interest of the actors in the vocation. Previous studies have shown that okada business is a major source of income and employment sector for numerous Nigerian youths. Against this backdrop, the study examined the survival strategies adopted by okada operators in the study areas.

However, literature on poverty in Nigeria showed that people living below the poverty line of US$1 Dollar per day have been on the increase. In this light, the study examined the role of NAPEP as economic empowerment of people in Irele community area of Ondo State, Nigeria.

The role of the police in protecting lives and properties has been very significant especially in the neighbourhood. MINERALS COMPOSITION ON SIX GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES AT VARYING DRYING METHODS IN NORTHERN GUINEA SAVANNAH OF NIGERIA
In Nigeria, various species of exotic and indigenous vegetables are abound. A very few of them are under cultivation, while a lot of the species are undomesticated and remain wild, examples Ayayo, Bitter leaf, sorrel, moringa e.t.c. (Yakubu et al; 2005). In this regard, this research aims to analyse the minerals content of six (6) sampled green leafy vegetables at varying drying methods (oven-dry and sun-dry).

PRODUCTION OF CAKE WITH COMPOSITE FLOUR (MILLET FLOUR AND WHEAT FLOUR)
This research work focused on the production of cake using composite flour (millet flour and wheat flour). The use of wheat flour is becoming monotonous in our bakery industry, its demand and cost is increasing on daily basis. For new innovations, development, and to add to varieties there is need to encourage the use of local flours made from local grains for pastry production.

COOPERATIVE MOVEMENT AND LIVESTOCK DEVELOPMET IN EDO STATE. NIGERIA
How responsive has Cooperative movement been to livestock development in Edo State and the level of participation in livestock enterprise? These were the issues addressed in this study. To achieve these objectives, data were obtained from 34 registered Agricultural Cooperative Societies by purposive sampling of respondents. Results show that 19 out of 34 Cooperative s interviewed were actually involved in Livestock enterprise while the remaining 15 Cooperative s were participating in thrift and credit activities.

THE PROBLEMS AND PROSPECT OF MARKETING OF PLANTAIN IN RURAL AND URBAN MARKETS OF OVIA NORTH EAST AND OVIA SOUTH WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF EDO STATE, NIGERIA
A study was undertaken to examine the problems and prospect of marketing of plantain in rural and urban markets of Ovia North East and Ovia South West local government areas of Edo state, Nigeria. The objective was to determine the major problems militating against the marketing of plantain in the rural and urban markets in the study area. Seventy (70) respondents comprising of sellers of plantain were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by use of structured questionnaire were administered to these respondents in both rural and urban markets surveyed.

PROXIMATE, MINERAL AND ANTI-NUTRIENT COMPOSITION OF THE LEAVES OF SWEET POTATO (IPOMOEA BATATAS L)
Green leafy vegetables have been recognized generally as source of micronutrients hence leaves of sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas L) were subjected to chemical analysis using standard methods of food to determine the proximate composition, nutritional elements and anti-nutritional contents. The leaves were found on dry weight basis to have high moisture content (71.60%), crude proteins (18.74%, crude fat (12.75%), carbohydrate (56.43%) and energy value (395k cal/lOOmg).

The unbalanced academic life of Nigerian Students tends to increase the vigour and tension in students' social life in Nigeria higher institutions, hence the menace of student's involvement in cultism and insanity which increases during examination periods. It has also been revealed that these phenomena are mostly induced by the decreased or nonchalant attitude of students towards recreation, probably due to ignorance of the benefits derivable from such or the non-availability or inadequacy of the necessary recreational facilities.

CONSTRUCTION OF BOL LOOPS OF ORDER 3p BY GROUP ALGORITHM AND PROGRAMMING
In this paper, a method combining both manual multiplication of permutations and a computer programing language (GAP) was used to construct Bol loop of order 3p, p being an odd prime. A specific case for order 15 was constructed by right regular representations.

The objective of this article rests on the importance of potassium (K-40) to man and plants and as such sweet potatoes which contains K-40 can be used as a source of vitamin K. Samples of sweet potatoes (tubers) were collected from farmland at ten (10) different places or areas from Angwan Habiba. Some quantities of the sample were weighed out and the activity of the K-40 samples were acquired in the lab. by using NaI (Tl) detector for a period of 2 hrs at 1000volts.
