Our Mission

The International Research and Development Institute is an independent institution established for the purpose of increasing the understanding of research and development problems confronting the world. Members are drawn from various universities and research institutes. An integral part of this is the establishment of schools, farms, estates and any other institution needed for the sustainable development of the human society.

The Institutes objectives are to perpertually:

1) Promote development research worldwide by mobilizing the world research community to undertake fundamental as well as policy-oriented research from a perspective which is relevant to the demand of all nations.

2) Encourage and support comparative research with an international perspective expressing the specificity of development processes in all nations.

3) Promote the publication and distribution of research work of all scholars.

4) Promote and define the principle of independent thought and research and liberty of researcher

5) Promote a worldwide network for the dissemination of information in all area of studies.

6) Encourage co-operation and collaboration between universities and similar international organizations.

7) Promote contact and develop interaction between the institute and similar international organizations.

8) Promote balanced gender, generational, regional, linguistic and disciplinary representation and participation in its activities.

9) To encourage all scholars to see intellectual life as a calling directed by passion for truth-seeking as a serve to God and humanity. Letting Positive change begin in and around them.

10) To encourage all to serve God first and foremost above anything and everything else.

The institute shall seek to achieve its objectives through the following means:

1) Exchanging and dissemination information relating to research, teaching, training and publishing activities.

2) Promoting translation into various languages of important publications and document.

3) Reinforcing the research and training capacity of Schools and Universities, through the provision of scholarships, fellowships and grants.

4) Organizing working groups, seminars, conferences and formal Education.

5) Promoting the exchange of academic staffs between Schools, universities, research institutes and publishing organizations.

6) Issuing and disseminating publications relevant to the activities of the institute.

7) Promoting the establishment of schools, farms, estates and any other institution needed for the sustainable development of the human society.

MEMBERSHIP

The International Research and Development Institute (IRDI) is an organization established for the purpose of increasing understanding of research and development problems confronting the developing world. Memberships IRDI Research and Development Network are draw from various Universities and research institutes. We also welcome interested members from government, non-governmental organizations and the organized private sector. The International Research and Development Institute (IRDI) is headed by Director General who is responsible to council for the IRDI. The IRDI Research and Development Network is composed of two categories of Membership – Individual members and Institutional members.

As many of the most valuable benefits of membership result from participation and networking with your professional peers, all members of the network will be informed of all our Local and International Events/Conferences. As a core benefit to members, the network maintains online database of members and their areas of expertise/specialization. The network also publishes a Year Book - The League of Researchers where members profile, current research and activities are listed. Generally Members have the following advantages:

• Receive information on the IRDI.


• Receive information no matters related to their field of specialization.


• Have their full social right in the association.


• Receive the journals/proceedings corresponding to their field.


• Editors and Reviewers of IRDI Journals are normally selected from members of IRDI

MEMBERSHIP FEE

Individual membership fee par annum are N3,000 for Nigerian residents, $50 for non-Nigerian residents. Institutional membership fee per annum are N25, 000 for Nigerian institutions and US $500 for Non-Nigerian institutions. To become a member, one should pay the membership fee, photocopy and complete the membership form. Membership fees for Non-Nigerian Residents may be waive on application to the Director General subject to favourable consideration by the council.
